Double Legacy & Four-Star WR Aidan Mizell Commits To Florida

Four-star WR Aidan Mizell has always had the Florida Gators in his blood. The legacy recruit's parents ran track at The University Of Florida, so once the Gators offered him, they immediately became a contender for his commitment. On Friday, that became a reality as he commited to Florida over Alabama and Tennessee. Mizell is the type of player that can be a gamechanger every time he touches the ball. The Orlando, Florida native checks in as the #72 overall player and the #13 wide receiver according to the 247sports composite rankings.

Mizell has been a huge riser in the rankings over the past few months based on his performances at camps during the summer. He became one of the most coveted prospects in the country and reeled in offers from almost every major power 5 school. The rising senior from Boone High School caught 47 passes for 1,003 yards and 18 touchdowns last season. He's a two sport athlete, as he also runs track for his school. You can tell that his speed on the track translates onto the football field as well. He's a legit football player that just so happens to excel in track as well.

Standing at 6'2" 180 pounds, Aidan Mizell has the prototypical size to play on the outside. what makes him such a unique player is the fact that he can line up in the slot and be a mismatch there as well. With his speed, he can take the top off the defense, wile also going up and high pointing the ball from opposing DBs. Simply put, he's one of the best playmakers in the country. He has to clean a few things up in his game, but he's definitely the type of receiver the Gators have been missing for the past few years.

Aidan Mizell is the type of kid that can be a game changer at the wide receiver position for the Florida Gators. I believe he has a chance to be an All-SEC caliber player. His size and speed make a mismatch nightmare for opposing DBs, and he’s exactly the type of player that Florida needs. He plays with extreme confidence and poise, and that rubs off on his teammates as well. He’s a great person, player and has a very bright future ahead of him.
